Spring is in the air so it must be time to pitch-in and clean up the village!
We know it is short notice but with the way the season started, we anticipated this year’s clean up to be early-mid May; however, it seems that spring is advancing nicely and some folks have suggested we move the clean-up forward to this Saturday, April 24th, 2015 from 9 to 11 am.
Meet up time is *9 am* at the dam park. Annual tasks include raking, clearing away fallen tree limbs, picking up litter, touching up paint and tidying up the flower beds. It’s never taken more than two hours but with many hands, maybe we’ll finish in 1.5 hours this year! DON’T FORGET TO BRING ALONG YOUR OWN RAKE, GARDENING GLOVES, ETC.
As with past years, we will have *coffee* and *water* available, and when we finish we can refuel on a light BBQ lunch at approx. *11 am*.
If you would like to help, it would be appreciated if you could notify Randy Hardy (see below) or sign up at the Clayton General Store so that we can plan accordingly and if you know of anyone else who might be interested in lending a hand, feel free to invite them along.
ATTENTION STUDENTS : Don’t forget to bring your community service forms for signature.
NOTE: To those of you who can’t make it Saturday but still want to help, please pick up a yellow garbage bag at the Clayton General Store and clean up along your street or other public area at any time. The specially marked yellow bags do not require a garbage bag sticker to be picked up by the municipality.
